CAT SITTING

WE ARE CAT PEOPLE:
MEETING YOUR CAT’S SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL & PHYSICAL NEEDS

We love how self-sufficient cats are: they bathe themselves, go potty on their own, & take lots of naps during the day.

They also have more subtle needs in order to feel happy and loved: like having a drink from the tap, playing with their feather wand, and getting treats when people visit. That is where our professional pet sitters come in!

WHY OUR CAT SITTING TEAM GETS GREAT REVIEWS:

WE SPEAK CAT

Cats are not dogs that say “Meow” instead of “Woof.” Cats tell us what they are feeling through their body language, and those signs are very different than comparable dog body language. Our team is certified in Feline Fundamentals so that we can decipher when a cat wants attention or simply wants to be left alone.

CATS GET LONELY

Despite their reputation, cats absolutely form bonds with their humans and can experience loneliness if left alone for too long. And they aren’t shy about telling you either! Our professional pet sitters fill that emotional bond for you when you can’t be there.

CATS LOVE ROUTINE

Cats are innately territorial animals that love their home base. So if their routine changes at all, they can feel anxious. This is why it’s so important to have regular cat visits of a moderate duration when you must be away. While we may not be your cat’s #1 human, our presence and caring demeanor is the next best thing.

CAT SITTING COMES WITH BASIC HOUSE SITTING

Not only do we spend time with your cat(s), feed them and clean out their litter boxes, we also check your home for hairball surprises and outside-the-litter-box accidents, and to minor house chores like bringing in mail/packages, watering plants and taking out trash.

SOCIALIZATION MATTERS

We get it – some cats love people and are social butterflies, others may just love one person. Whichever camp your cat(s) falls into, for your pet’s long term health, it is important they learn to at least tolerate other people so they can be handled if the need arises. Cat sitting by one of our pet professionals is ideal for this.

PROVIDE MEDICATIONS WHENEVER POSSIBLE

Our cat sitters are trained to provide medications to cats, and we approach this task thoughtfully. On the occasion a cat is too stressed or unwilling to be medicated, we contact you to discuss alternatives instead of forcing your cat against his will, which simply creates more anxiety for them. It is just the right thing to do.

PEACE OF MIND IS PRICELESS.

If you must be away from your cat(s), worrying about their well-being can be a distraction. With one of our cat sitters stepping in in your absence, they will be safe, respected and loved on according to your cat’s specific requirements. We are happy to provide check-in calls or texts – and provide photos – so you know your cat is thriving and well-cared for.
