They do not guarantee services provided by a caregiver. We guarantee the satisfaction of the service you receive.
YOU must thoroughly vet caregiver because Rover/Wag has not.  WE vet all employees.

What Happens If Something Goes Wrong During Service?

PCPSI LIABILITY

Caregivers on Rover are not bonded against theft, so if something is stolen, Rover will not assist/assume liability. Wag caregivers are bonded. Entire team is bonded.
Rover requires you pay their insurance deductible of any vet bill ($250); PCPSI pays all insurance deductibles in case of pet accident/injury.
Rover has a $25k total vet bill max; Wag! no longer publishes their policy/limits info. PCPSI carries the highest insurance limits available.
If caregiver is injured while in YOUR home, Rover/Wag! assumes zero liability.  The caregiver may seek damages under YOUR home owner’s insurance policy. Our team is covered by a workman’s compensation policy if they are ever injured while on the job, regardless of location.

What happens if a caregiver is injured while providing service?

If caregiver is injured while in YOUR home, Rover/Wag! assumes zero liability.  The caregiver may seek damages under YOUR home owner’s insurance policy. Our team is covered by a workman’s compensation policy if they are ever injured while on the job, regardless of location.  

How Much Experience/Training Does My Caregiver Have?

PCPSI EXPERIENCE

Caregiver consistency/long-term availability varies extensively. The average PCPSI employee has been with the company 5+ years.
Zero training is required. Comprehensive on-boarding training is required for all employees, pet 1st aid/CPR training conducted every 2 yrs, ongoing training required.
YOU must vet the experience level of the caregiver you choose on Rover/Wag. We vet all staff and provide all training.

What Happens If Your Caregiver Is Incapacitated?

PCPSI EMERGENCIES/BACK-UP SITTERS

Rover/Wag! have no on-site, local support. We have local managers that can be on site quickly in an emergency. If a pet escaped, team members can be deployed to assist in recovery.
If a caregiver became incapacitated while providing service, Rover/Wag! would not know unless a 3rd party knew to notify them. Our team members check in/out of every visit; managers are alerted if service was not being performed, and can step in.
If Rover/Wag! caregiver is suddenly unable to provide service or cancels their booking with you, there is no backup caregiver ready to step in. We provide backup sitters and they are available to step in immediately.
