Dallas Dog Bowl 2025

On May 17, 2025, Fair Park Dallas hosted its annual Dog Bowl at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium in Fair Park, transforming the iconic football field into a “super-sized dog park” where dogs of all sizes could romp and run unleashed. This free event brought together local pet lovers and their canine best friends for a day filled with fun, socialization, and exercise in an open environment. Park Cities Pet Sitters was there as a vendor and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone that stopped by our table. We love to participate in and support local events!

The Dog Bowl is a beloved tradition in Dallas. I’m not sure when the event officially started, but it’s taken place almost annually since at least 2016. The Dog Bowl offers dogs and their families a unique chance to enjoy off-leash playtime in a spacious, vibrant setting while connecting with vendors and visitors from within the community. It also brings together local vendors from many industries, including local rescues and pet care providers like ourselves.

For the dogs, the event is a field day unlike any other. They enjoy water stations and giant splash bowls (aka kiddie pools).. There are treat vendors and lots of new friends to sniff. The humans enjoyed food and drink vendors, free parking, a photo booth to make long-lasting memories and the opportunity to experience Cotton Bowl Stadium from the field.

The Dog Bowl and other events like it allow our team to meet Dallas pet parents and connect with you in a way that a Google search and phone call just can’t do. Of course, we love to connect with new clients online, but meeting you in person and seeing your dogs in action give us a better understanding of what you’re looking for in a pet care provider.

For example, we may see an adult dog that is relaxed and enjoying is day out and recommend a walk and potty break for him while you’re at work. We may then strike up a conversation with the owners of an active, bouncy dog that is misbehaving at home. Knowing this and seeing the dog’s behavior helps us determine that the dog could benefit from longer visits, more intense walks, and greater distances.

We also get to know you. We can answer your questions, discuss your concerns. and put your mind at ease before you even visit us online. That way, you can put at least one face to our name, start to develop a relationship with our team, and establish a more profound level of trust than you would with a company you’ve only seen on your computer monitor or mobile phone.

Another benefit of attending The Dog Bowl and similar events is that we get to check in with existing and longtime clients. After years of serving the Dallas Metroplex, we have established relationships with thousands of families, many of whom have had many generations of dogs in our care. We have watched children be born, grow up, and jet off to college, have seen couples get married, professionals earn promotions, and so much more.

Running into our clients at local events is a great way to reconnect, check in, and discuss any current challenges. Whether you’re now an empty nester, your friends and neighbors need a dog walker, or you’re thinking about adopting a new pet, we’re here to discuss where you are in life and how we can be of service.
